The WA State youth teams will start their trials and preparations for this year’s National Youth Tournaments (NYC) in April, with the head coaches confirmed for all four squads.
The coaches include Faye Chambers (girls U14), Darren Young (girls U15), Brad Hassell (boysU13) and Mitch Prentice (boys U14).
Football West is seeking assistant coaches for the State Youth Girls (U14 and U15) and Boys (U13 and U14) squads, with the Girls National Youth Competition (NYC) to be held in July and the Boys NYC to be held in September in Coffs Harbour, NSW.
The successful candidates will have a minimum of a valid C Licence coaching accreditation (B Licence preferred), alongside with proven experience in coaching talented youth players. The ability to communicate effectively with young players is essential.
The successful assistant coaches are expected to be available to attend the State Trials as well as the preparation program (two weekly training sessions in preparation for the NYC) and to be able to work in a technical team alongside the head coach.
