More than 800 players are taking to the field this week at Beale Park, Spearwood to represent their region at Country Week.
Twilight games are being held for the first time at this year’s Country Week to cater for the increase in participant numbers.
Football West Head of Development Jamie Harnwell believes the continued growth of regional football will only benefit the game.
“Regional football is a key area of the game that Football West will continue to focus on and grow,” he said.
“We recognise that there are some fantastic players, coaches and officials developing all over the state, and Country Week is our opportunity to measure the progress they have made in the past 12 months.”
12 regional associations will be represented at Country Week, with teams competing in boys and girls competitions from U11 to U17.
