Togo win Africa Down Under Cup

The seventh annual Smarter Than Smoking Africa Down Under Cup took place at Langley Park on Thursday and once again it proved a huge success.

Togo beat Nigeria 4-3 in the final, with Armadale wide man Friday Zico – a full international with South Sudan – the hero with a hat-trick.

The other eight teams represented by local communities were Somalia, Mauritius, Liberia, Zambia, Tanzania, Libya, Australia and North Lake Senior Campus.

The Smarter Than Smoking Africa Down Under Cup is co-hosted by Football West and Paydirt Media and ties in with the three-day long Africa Down Under mining conference in Perth.
