Chelsea’s visit to Perth moved to another level on Friday with head coach Maurizio Sarri and star players Cesc Fabregas and David Luiz appearing at a media conference at Optus Stadium.
The team arrived after a 16-hour direct flight from the UK ahead of Monday night’s friendly with Perth Glory.

The Chelsea trio were joined by Glory head coach Tony Popovic, striker Andy Keogh and goalkeeper Liam Reddy.
Venues West CEO David Etherton and Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck also spoke at the event, where Chelsea showed off the FA Cup they won in May.
Highgate Primary School students celebrate the visit of the Chelsea Foundation coaches
The media conference followed two clinics held by the Chelsea Foundation and Football West with Highgate Primary School students at Birdwood Square this morning.
That followed a Coach Education classroom workshop and practical last night with more than 70 coaches at Inglewood United’s Perth Plasterboard Stadium.

At the workshop Chelsea Foundation Senior International Development Officer David Monk spoke about what Chelsea look for when identifying players and what the roles and responsibilities are for that player.
