The Gold Fields Under 15 Boys State Squad received their team shirts and polo shirts this week for the upcoming Jinshan International Youth Football Championship in China.

Head Coach Garry Church said the youngsters should be proud of themselves.

“For the players it’s a fantastic opportunity to go away and represent WA. This tournament is by invitation only, so they will be up against some quality international teams.

“There were 60-70 kids at the trials and so to get selected is an achievement in itself.”

The Gold Fields WA Team will play against the India National Youth Team on August 25, China on August 26 and Czech outfit Slavia Prague on August 28.

The other sides involved in the Jinshan Tournament are AJ Auxerre from France, Belgian side Standard Liege, Sanfrecce Hiroshima from Japan and a second China team.
