The Gold Fields State Futsal Girls Under 15s began the FFA National Futsal Championships in style on Wednesday with a 4-2 over NSW Country.

Daisy McAlister (2), Taneesha Baker and Claudia Hocking were on target for the WA side in Sydney.

There were also victories for the State Boys U14s and U13s.

Stanley Brown, Daynsh Taufik and Dylan Di Toro gave the U14s a 3-0 win over ACT, while the U14s put seven past NSW Country – Jamie Bucat (2), Luke McLaren (2), Clayton Jones, Ben Henley and Ivan Montana netting in a 7-2 romp.

The Gold Fields Boys U12s went down 4-2 to ACT, while the U15s and U16s suffered two losses apiece on the opening day although James Toth scored in both U15 matches.
