A former Zone Representative and Standing Committee member, Mr Katris made an important contribution to Western Australian football over many years.

Mr Katris was also a Floreat Athena committee member and was an avid supporter of the local game.

Paul worked with the Cancer Council of WA for more than 20 years and more recently was Executive Officer of the WA Clinical Oncology Group.

Mr Katris, who attended the Socceroos final World Cup qualifying match in Sydney last week, was taken ill before returning to Perth and passed away suddenly.
