QBE Country Programs
QBE Country Camp
QBE Country Camp is traditionally held in the April school holidays for regional players who have been identified during the QBE Country Week as talented players. Country Camp is a four day program aimed at providing the participants with specialised coaching in the physical, mental and technical aspects of the game by highly qualified Football West coaches.
QBE Country Week
QBE Country Week is held annually in the September/October school holidays and attracts over 1000 players, coaches, volunteers and spectators for a week-long football extravaganza.
The tournament is specifically designed for the regional areas and has three key objectives:
- Regional Championships
- Talent ID of players
- Coach Education
Football West will implement Regional Selectors for each age group, who will be responsible (in conjunction with the Regional Associations) for the identification of players within that age group.
At Country Week players will be selected to attend QBE Country Camp which is traditionally held in the April school holidays which will enable identified players to continue to receive hands on specialist training.
