A charity day held by Shamrock Rovers FC last month raised more than $10,000 in the fight against breast cancer.
The Go Pink For Linda day was held at Harold Rossiter Reserve on June 23, to coincide with Rovers’ State Division Two clash with Wanneroo City.
Shamrock Rovers players wore pink instead of their customary green for the occasion.
Ciaran Launders was the driving force behind the day, which was named in honour of his wife Linda who died from the disease in October last year.
Ciaran said the final total raised for the National Breast Cancer Federation was $10,575.
