Snook blasts WA U13s to two wins

Toby Snook was on fire for the Gold Fields Under 13 State side today as the ECU Joondalup youngster helped the WA side to two wins on day three of the National Youth Championships in Coffs Harbour.

Snook scored a first-half hat-trick as the Football West boys defeated Vic Country 3-0, before bagging the winner in a 3-2 victory over South Australia Blue.

Cohen Monteiro (Perth SC) and Louis Hadfield (ECU) were also on target for WA.

The two wins lifted Football West to a third place finish in Group A.

On Thursday, in the second stage of the Championships, they will take on Vic Metro before a clash with Northern NSW on Friday.

Meawhile the Gold Fields Under 14 side finished unbeaten in their Group A but had to settle for second place after two draws today.

Liam Ellison (Murdoch University Melville) scored early on in a 1-1 draw with South Australia Blue. The Football West team were then held 0-0 by Vic Country.

The Under 14s face Tasmania on Thurday then Northern Territory on Friday.
