WA’s best female and male players will be revealed during football’s end-of-season celebrations at the Consolidated Energy WA Football Awards at Crown Perth on Saturday.
The fairest and best players in the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues WA and the Bankwest Women’s State Premier League will each receive the coveted gold medal and $10,000 in recognition of their performances.
Champion teams, players and officials from WA’s top competitions will also be recognised during the glittering ceremony.
Football West Chief Executive James Curtis looked forward to celebrating the game’s outstanding achievements.
“It’s always a fantastic night when we recognise Western Australia’s best female and male players,” he said.
“The WA football system, through the hard work of so many people associated with the game, continues to produce many talented footballers and our competitions provide the platform for them to showcase that ability.
“From grassroots all the way through to the elite level, it’s important that we maintain our commitment to raising the profile of women’s and men’s football in WA.
“Celebrating the very best of football through the Consolidated Energy Gold Medal and the Bankwest Women’s State Premier League Gold Medal provides inspiration for others to strive to be the best they can be.”
In June, Football West announced Consolidated Energy as the new major sponsor of the WA Football Awards.
The Consolidated Energy WA Football Awards will take place this Saturday, October 7 at Crown Perth.
