NPL newcomers Rockingham City made it two out of two in the Night Series after defeating league champions Perth SC 2-0 at E&D Litis Stadium on Sunday night.
James Harmer scored twice in the second half for Cam Lord’s side, including a penalty, leaving the Azzurri to rue a missed penalty of their own in the first half.

The other two matches in Pool 1 took place last Friday at Percy Doyle Reserve and both finished 1-1.

The first game was between Inglewood and Stirling Lions. David Molinari gave Stirling the lead on 31 minutes but Keegan Ashley’s team were pegged back through Chock Dau’s penalty on 65.
That match was followed by Sorrento v ECU Joondalup and again it finished all square. Joe Knowles scored his second in two weeks for the Jacks on 10 minutes, only for Gulls skipper Reece Vittiglia to earn a point for the home side.
In Pool 2 Floreat Athena came from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Balcatta at E&D Litis Stadium on Sunday.
A quickfire Calum O’Connell double had the visitors in a strong position after 24 minutes but Ludovic Boi and Jon Stynes dragged Floreat level before half-time and that is how it stayed.

On Friday night Bayswater City hosted their first Night Series matches, following the installation of new floodlights at Frank Drago Reserve.
Bayswater, who were thrashed 5-0 by Floreat in Week One, gave debuts to former ECU duo Daryl Nicol and Gordon Smith and the Scottish pair were both on target in City’s 4-2 victory over Perth Glory.
The impressive Luke Salmon gave Glory the lead against his former club before Nicol fired low across keeper Nicolas Specca and into the far corner to equalise.
Paul Lloyd got on the end of a long throw just before half-time to make it 2-1 to Bayswater but Glory levelled straight after the interval through Gomo Dukuly’s penalty, which was awarded after the speedy forward had been clipped.
An own goal from Nicholas Walsh and Smith’s strong run and finish ensured the win went to Bayswater who held a minute silence before kick-off for Pietro Colli, a life member and father of club Director of Football Operations Ori Colli.
