The Hyundai Talent Support Program (TSP) players in Albany had a special physical screening by physiotherapist Jeremy Wallis last week.
As well as a physio, the program provides a nutritionist, a gym and pool recovery sessions to ensure players are getting full support to improve their game.
The program is run by Great Southern Regional Development Officer Sarthak Mishra.
Football West Technical Manager Cris Ola said: “The Talent Support Program is expanding to new regional area, with a new hub created this year in Albany.
“The main purpose of this new TSP hub will be to assist talented players in the regions with their development in a more competitive environment, including technical and tactical aspects alongside pre-hab, recovery, nutrition and injury prevention.
“Sarthak Mishra will co-ordinate the program, which we hope to motivate and assist regional players to improve and accelerate their development, targeting selection in Regional State Teams.”
The physio, gym and recovery sessions and pool use are possible thanks to funding from the Great Southern Sport Talent Association.
