Bushfire Charity Match strips revealed
Football West News
Football West has commissioned special strips for this Saturday night’s Bushfire Charity Match at Dorrien Gardens.
The Besteam kits will be worn by the NPL All Stars XI and the State League All Stars XI.
The game at the home of Perth SC kicks off at 7pm and will be preceded by a match between the Gold Fields State Amateur Team and a Belt Up Amateur Select XI (kick-off 5pm)
There will also be activities for youngsters on the all-weather pitches at Dorrien Gardens, with the Football West Development Team running MiniRoos Kick-Off Programs and some small-sided games.
Football West will be donating money from the event to Rural Aid as part of the Football For Fire-Affected Farmers, Their Families And Communities initiative.
Football West Head of Member Services Alex Novatsis said: “We are delighted with how the WA football community is supporting the game. The bushfires have struck a chord with people throughout the country and we feel privileged that we can do something to help.
“Many thanks to our exclusive official apparel supplier Besteam, who have been able to supply two sets of strips in such a short time.
“We would love to see as many people as possible at Dorrien Gardens. There will be plenty of activities and we know Perth Soccer Club will be fantastic hosts for the occasion.”
Football West is working closely with other Member Federations and Football Federation Australia on a number of initiatives to raise funds and support the community through these difficult times.
Football West would like to thank the players, clubs, presidents, match officials and standing committee members who have got behind the initiative.
Admission for the match will be by donation while there will also be a prize raffle.
