E-Series Club Club attracts almost 200 players

Football West’s first E-Series Club Cup has caught the imagination with almost 200 players registering before Monday night’s deadline.

The draw for the knockout FIFA competition will take place on Tuesday and published online.

Following the draw, Football West will determine the date and time limit for completion of all matches in the round.

Results and fixtures will be published on Sports TG.

COMPETITION RULES

The E-Series Club Cup is open to all, with men’s, women’s and junior (16 and under) competitions. They will be run in two divisions, one for PS4 Division and one for Xbox Division.

While all grassroots football is on hold until 14 April, the demand for action is clearly as strong as ever with 192 players signing up to compete.

Football West Head of Members Services Alex Novatsis is delighted with the response from the football-hungry community.

“The uptake has been fantastic and we are now looking forward to getting the competition up and running,” he said.

“Whilst we are still working on getting the outdoor seasons under way, this is a great opportunity for players to get minutes on the pitch.

“We always wanted to start up an E-series and we know the growth of e-sport worldwide, so it makes sense for Football West to take the lead here.

“We want this first one to be a success and then there are plans to expand and create some excitement across the WA community.”
