Final word on Amateur World Cup

Football West News

There’s an Africa v Europe triple-header this weekend when the Perth Amateur Soccer World Cup reaches its conclusion.

Thirty-nine teams entered the tournament in the first week of October and it has come down to the three finals which will take place at E&D Litis Stadium, the home of Floreat Athena, on Sunday.

The Masters final will be between Zimbabwe and Italy, the Juniors final sees Zimbabwe face FYR Macedonia, while Zambia and FYR Macedonia bring the curtain down in the Seniors.

Competition organiser Wile Miranda said: “An African team against a European team in each of the finals, that’s a great way to finish.”

Along with the three finals, Miranda said there would be a women’s match at 3pm.
