Everyone involved in our sport should be treated with respect and dignity and be free to participate without discrimination, harassment, bullying, or abuse. Football West is committed to upholding the values of respect, integrity, inclusion, accountability, and collaboration in all its interactions and decision-making.
While disputes may arise and individuals may not always behave in accordance with these standards, Football West ensures that all complaints are managed in a way that reflects our values, upholds natural justice, and maintains confidentiality. This approach provides a fair, consistent, and transparent framework for resolving matters while supporting those involved.
Clubs are responsible for responding to complaints promptly, fairly and in the best interests of all parties. All concerns must first be raised directly with the relevant club to allow the matter to be assessed and resolved at the appropriate level.
Complaints submitted to Football West without first being raised with the club will be redirected back to a Club to manage. Matters may be escalated to Football West only where the club process has been exhausted or where it is not appropriate to raise the complaint at club level (e.g. conflict of interest or risk of victimisation).
All complaints are carefully reviewed. While not every matter requires a formal investigation, we aim to resolve concerns as early and fairly as possible wherever appropriate.
