Football West is launching a new 5-a-side competition for Skill Acquisition Program aged players in the new year.
The competition will take place over nine weeks during the first school term of 2019.
It is open to players born between 2007-2010, with games played on Saturday mornings from February 9.
All matches will be held at Gibbney Reserve in Maylands with kick off times between 8am and noon.
Other details include:
• Games are 2 x 20 minute halves (40 mins)
• The competition will be in four catgories – U9s, U10s, U11s & U12s
• The cost per team is $693 (inclusive of GST). The recommended squad size is seven players, which works out at $99 per player
• Matches will be officiated by Football West appointed referees
Football West Skill Acquisition Trainer Brad Hassell said: “We want to expose players in the SAP age groups to more game time, especially during the off season.
“This competition provides a fantastic opportunity for players to learn the game by playing the game.”
