Regional Festival of Football heads to Busselton

Football West’s third Regional Festival of Football will take place in Busselton later this month.

The climax will be the Round Seven National Premier Leagues WA match between Perth Glory and Sorrento, which will be held at Barnard Park on Saturday, April 27. Kick off is 3pm.

The NPL fixture, billed as the Regional Cup and which will be livestreamed by Football West, is one of three games taking place at the venue that day.

There will be a local derby between Leeuwin Naturaliste Junior Soccer Association and Country Coastal Junior Soccer Association at 11am.

This will be followed by a match involving two South West Soccer Association teams (1pm).

There will plenty of other activations in the lead-up to match day, including:

  • A Perth Glory open training session at Barnard Park at 4pm on Friday, April 26. The open training session will coincide with a free workshop for coaches, who will have access to Glory NPL coach and former Socceroo Richard Garcia and and Football West Leeuwin Naturaliste Development Officer Juan Propato.

  • A free Referee Level 4 entry course at Busselton City FC’s Churchill Park. This will be a split course, the first session running from 6-9pm on Friday, April 26, and the second 8.30-11.30am on Saturday, April 27. To register for the Level 4 course CLICK HERE

  • Free holiday school clinics, which are for boys and girls aged 8-16 and will be run by Leeuwin Naturaliste Development Officer Juan Propato. There are 35 spaces available each day.
