The new campaign, which is backed by Football Federation Australia and was developed in conjunction with England?s Football Association, also aims to combat anti-social behaviour and end the abuse of officials.
Several senior competitions will kick-off this weekend and Football West wants players and spectators to heed the campaign message.
Clubs can get on board by hosting a 90-minute interactive presentation that will give members a better understanding of refereeing.
Football West Referee Development Manager Eddie Lennie, who was a whistle blower at the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, said there was a real need for everyone, including the mums and dads of junior players, to respect officials.
?Football West will be one of the first Member Federations to roll out this national campaign and as such there will be a lot more attention on our leagues to see how successful the campaign is,? Lennie said.
?It?s all about education and the need to RESPECT each other?s roles in the game.?
