UPDATE: The Gold Fields State Men’s Team will take on Perth Glory tonight at Frank Drago Reserve.
The annual Challenge Cup tie will kick off at 7pm and admission is free.
All of the NPL WA sides had least two players in the original 22-man squad with the exception of tonight’s hosts Baywater City and Floreat Athena, who were both involved in long FFA Cup trips last week, and Glory themselves.
However, following the weekend games, Balcatta keeper Lewis Italiano and Rockingham’s James Harmer have withdrawn, while Sorrento centre-back Scott Robertson has been added to the squad.
Champions Perth SC have three players on duty, including Paul Zimarino who is a huge Glory supporter.
Stirling Lions’ representatives include captain Dean Cummings, who scored a vital winner on Saturday to aid the bottom club’s fight to stay in the NPL.
Football West Head of Development and Sorrento NPL Head Coach Jamie Harnwell will take the Football West side, with Football West Development Officer Garry Church his assistant.
Glory hold the cup after defeating the WA State side 5-2 at Perth Plasterboard Centre Stadium last year.
Glory play Western Sydney Wanderers in the FFA Cup at Dorrien Gardens a week today (Wednesday, August 7, kick off 6.30pm).
