Football West referee Tom Robinson’s final blog on the recent Referees Development tour.
The Football West Referees tour of the UK officially wrapped up last weekend, with the team going their separate ways on Monday night.
After more training sessions, it was another busy weekend of officiating in the Saturday/Sunday county cup competitions, as well as the Northern League Second Division.
The games were all a success, with the boys getting the opportunity to referee some high quality non-league matches.
After celebrating the end of great tour on Sunday night, the guys packed up and spent their last day in Manchester.
The team enjoyed a tour of Manchester United’s stadium, Old Trafford, before splitting up, with some of us going home and others travelling to new destinations.
The boys would like to take this opportunity to thank all the host clubs, as well as the guys from West and North Riding County Football Associations, who took the time to coach us and give us games during our time in the UK.
Also a special a mention goes to Eddie and Cheesy, the team coaches, who deserve thanks for organising the trip and making sure it all ran smoothly.
Good luck to our visiting Australian Match Officials this weekend from @FootballWest who are officiating a number of games in the @theofficialnl & @NorthRidingFA Cups this weekend as part of their UK Tour 🇦🇺⚽️🙌
Games today at @Synthonia @BillinghamTown & @RedcarNewmarket 👍😀 pic.twitter.com/EgSyjdgY7F
