Football West and Insurance Commission kick off distribution of 2,000 Belt Up-branded footballs

Football West today launches the 2023 Belt Up ball distribution initiative.

We are now in the sixth year of our partnership with the Insurance Commission to promote the Belt Up road safety campaign.

This campaign aims to increase public awareness about the importance of drivers and passengers wearing seat belts to minimise the risk of injury from serious motor accidents.

Through this partnership, more than 2,000 footballs branded with the Belt Up message are distributed each year to clubs in regional and metropolitan WA, benefitting players across the State. This means more than 10,000 balls have been distributed since the beginning of the partnership.

Metro clubs participating in the following competitions will receive 12 branded T-Spec Deploy footballs as part of this partnership:

  • Belt Up Men’s Amateur League
  • Belt Up Men’s Metro League
  • Belt Up Men’s Masters League
  • Hyundai Women’s League

The balls will be available for collection from our distribution partners over a four-week period commencing today (Wednesday 26 April).

An email outlining details has been sent to all participating clubs. If your club is eligible but not yet received the email, please contact the Football West Partnerships team at beltup@footballwest.com.au

In addition to metropolitan clubs, selected regional clubs will receive the Belt Up footballs, with the distribution being led by our Community Participation Officers.

We encourage all the clubs to be a part of this campaign by sharing images and videos of their players with the Belt Up balls on their social media channels.
