Overview of Football

The Great Southern region of WA has a strong football community, comprised of many dedicated volunteers and players.

Football West aims to grow and strengthen the game in the region to enable players of various abilities and skill levels to enjoy the benefits football can bring.

Whether you are an aspiring professional player or are kicking a ball for the first time we aim to provide opportunities and programs that support development and enjoyment of the game at any age.

In 2025 and 2026 we plan to offer several Women’s and Girls only programs, referees’ and coaches’ courses and academy opportunities.

Local Associations

Competitions are managed in the region by two associations:

Great Southern Soccer Association
Albany Junior Soccer Association
Each association provides exceptional service to the game in the region and manages competitions for players of all ages.
