Football West player registration fees reduced for regions, no change in metro area
Football West is freezing its registration fees for players in the metropolitan area – and reducing fees for players in the regions.
The decision comes as Football West marks another year as the most popular team sport in WA in terms of registered players.
Football West CEO Jamie Harnwell said: “We are keen to assist families who may face cost-of-living pressures by not increasing our fees.
“Having the most registered players of all team sports in Western Australia is not something we take for granted and we are keen to support them in any way we can.
“Regional participation makes up around a quarter of our players, so it is pleasing to reduce their fees by up to $7 for 2026. This has been made possible by the continuing cooperation of Football West and the regional associations to streamline regional football.”
The Football West fee does not include the National Registration Fee of $18 for juniors, $42 for seniors and $73 for professional youth players and $77 for professionals aged 19 and over. This is charged separately by Football Australia.
Team entry fees will rise by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 4.5%.
Player registration and team entry fees are key to Football West’s ability to continue to deliver services for the WA football community.
Football West thanks everyone who has contributed to a great year and look forward to an even better 2026.
