Maddington, Jaguar lead goal charge

The goals flew in during Round Four of the Belt Up Amateur Premier Division on Sunday with 36 scored across the six matches.

Only bottom-of-the-table Queens Park failed to register. In contrast, Maddington White City and Jaguar FC both hit six away from home.

League leaders Joondalup United were involved in game of the day, a 4-4 draw away to Kwinana United.

Adam Buckley scored all four for Joondalup, including an 85th minute equaliser. For Kwinana it will feel like two points dropped after they led 4-2 when Jake Daley got his second.

North Perth, who are second on goal difference, were the only team to keep a clean sheet. Alpha Sheriff scored twice in a 3-0 win over a game Queens Park.

Maddington White City had a great day out in Bunbury, winning 6-2 at South West Phoenix who finished the match with nine men. City’s goals came via a Craig Kamocha own goal and strikes from Jose Zuniga, Samir Ramos, M Firdaus Di Yusri, Cesar Orozco and Nofal Aroca.

A hat-trick from Malek Domkoc helped Jaguar FC overcome Quinns FC 6-3 at Gumblossom Park. Conor O’Driscoll got two and Gojam Nyuon the other for a Jaguar side who are a threat to anyone in the division when they click.

Matthew Devereux scored twice in Wembley Downs’ 3-1 home win over Hamersley Rovers, and it was a similar tale at John Connell Reserve where Ben Greaves hit two as Leeming Strikers beat UWA Nedlands 3-1. Leeming sit third in the table, a point behind the front two.
