North Perth lift Amateur Premier title

The goals flew in the penultimate round of the Belt Up Amateur Premier Division with 39 goals scored across the six matches.

North Perth United, who clinched the title the previous weekend, enjoyed a 4-0 win over bottom club Queens Park – the only side not to register a goal.

Joel Jebaratnam led the way for the new champions with two goals before the celebrations began, with Football West General Manager – Participation, Community and Clubs Ryan Lenegan presenting the team with their trophy.

Jake Daley and David Clark both scored twice as Kwinana United secured second place with a  round to go by defeating Joondalup United 6-2.

Maddington White City are now third following their 5-2 defeat of South West Phoenix. Cesar Orozco scored a hat-trick and Samir Ramos two for City, while Lee Stewart got a brace for Phoenix.

Walter Torres got two as UWA Nedlands beat Leeming Strikers 3-1, while Harris Beech also netted twice in Hamersley Rovers’ 5-2 victory over Wembley Downs.

The highest scorers in the round were Quinns, who won 7-2 at Jaguar. Guy Armstrong bagged a hat-trick for the Jacks.
