North Perth United have replaced Jaguar FC at the top of the table after seven rounds of the Belt Up Amateur Premier Division.
Second-half goals from Dalitso Mwale and substitute Joel Jebaratnam gave North Perth a 2-1 win against Leeming Strikers, for whom Tom Grant scored a late penalty.
Jaguar had enjoyed a winning run of four games but they were unable to extend it, crashing 4-1 at home to Kwinana United who are now third.
Thomas Ryan, Sam French and Sean Troup (2) scored for United, while Julius Bosco had ensured parity for Jaguar at the break.
Maddington White City missed an opportunity to go top when they went down 1-0 at home to Wembley Downs, while Liam Hudson got the only goal for Hamersley Rovers against Joondalup United to ensure they stayed in touch with the leading pack.
A hat-trick from Wayne Carter ensured Quinns celebrated a first win of the season, 3-0 at UWA Nedlands.
Despite finishing their match with 10 men, South West Phoenix overcame Queens Park 3-1. An own goal from Queen Park keeper Ross Brown broke the deadlock, before Byron Goodwin levelled before half-time.
Despite losing Cameron Baker to a second yellow card after an hour, Kieran Quinn’s penalty straight after restored Phoenix’s lead then Sam Riches made it 3-1.
