Training treat for Hyundai competition winners
Competition winners Storm Briffa and Tha Len Sui were the toast of their school mates after Football West Youth Development Officer Gareth Naven took them for exclusive training sessions.
Earlier this year the two youngsters claimed top prizes in the Football West-Hyundai Design the Football Car of the Future competition.

Both girls won a prize pack, valued at $500, which included a Hyundai Gift Pack and a one-hour Football Experience with 11 of their friends coached by Perth Glory legend Naven.
Sui’s school Emmanuel Christian Community Primary School and Storm’s school Parkerville Primary School also received a $750 Onside Sport Voucher for new equipment.

Naven said: “Congratulations to the two girls who won the competition, it was a great experience visiting the two schools.
“The importance of providing an experience of football to young kids must encompass more touches, more fun and more games. I always try to make this the focus of the sessions, keeping kids for life in the game.
“Development for kids this age, we want to achieve the following:
-
that young kids are motivated more than before
-
they show a desire to improve
-
that this is a golden age of motor learning
-
the young players learn different games played in teams of two, three and four.”
Football West would like to thank our partner Hyundai for supporting community football in WA.
