Football West in the Kimberley
An incredible five days in the Kimberley for the Football West team, delivering clinics, facility planning, visiting schools, meeting local government and talking to the hard working volunteer community about the future of football in the North West off the back of the great work of Football West’s inaugural Development Officer in the Kimberley, Kamil Chetty.
We were also delighted to present Broome Soccer Association President Tom Hulse with the association’s Building Stronger Clubs certificate and chat with ABC Kimberley presenter Edwin Cowlishaw about football in the region.
Thanks to everyone who made the trip a success, including the fantastic students and staff at Ngalangangpum School in Warmun and Fitzroy Valley District High School in Fitzroy Crossing; Halls Creek Youth Police Officer Snr Constable Jared Love and the youngsters in the town; Kununurra Soccer Association President Kaylin Fletcher; the members of Broome Soccer Association; the Federal Department of Health; the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries; the Shire of Broome and the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley.
