While the three NPL and State League night series competitions are at the semi-final stage, it is the opening round for the Belt Up Amateur sides this weekend.
The 12 teams are divided into three groups of four. Each group winner will advance to the semi-finals, along with the best second-place side.
Friday night sees a double-header at Ellenbrook Sports Hub – UWA Nedlands face Joondalup United in Group A, followed by the Group B encounter between Wembley Downs and last year’s beaten finalists Quinns FC.
Also on Friday, Leeming Strikers, who are chasing a third straight Night Series title, take on Hamersley Rovers in Group C at Wanneroo City Soccer Club.
On Saturday, South West Phoenix host Kwinana United in Bunbury in a 3pm kick-off in Group B. The final two games of Round One will be at E&D Litis Stadium on Sunday – North Perth United v Queens Park in Group A and Jaguar FC v Maddington White City (Group C).
