Changes to the Laws of the Game, competition rules and temporary dismissals were on the agenda at the pre-season All Flags Referees Seminar.
The seminar attracted 210 referees to ECU Mt Lawley last Saturday.
Temporary dismissals for dissent will be introduced into Junior competitions this year.
Football Federation Australia Referee Manager Mathew Cheeseman gave attendees an update on the FFA referees department at the seminar, which was opened by Football West Chief Operating Officer Greg Blycha.
Football West Head of Referees Eddie Lennie said: “We are very pleased with the number of attendees at the seminar and the level of discussion on the important changes to the Laws of the Game.
“We look forward to seeing these changes implemented in the upcoming 2020 season.”
