Josh Mannella will officiate his 100th Hyundai A-League match on Friday when Perth Glory host Wellington Phoenix at HBF Park (6.45pm).
Josh has officiated more A-League matches than any other West Australian.
Football West Head of Referees Eddie Lennie, who refereed 195 National Soccer League matches, said “To reach this milestone is a fantastic achievement. Josh has been a consistent performer at both state and national level for many years and this game will be a special occasion for him.”
Mannella has been a member of Football West’s top panel of referees since 2011 and joined the Hyundai A-League Assistant Referee panel in the 2009-10 season.
He won the Football West Assistant Referee of the Year award in 2014 and 2017 and was an assistant referee for the Manchester United v Perth Glory match in July last year.
Meanwhile, Football West has vacancies for its upcoming Entry Level 4 Referee Courses in February, March and April.
In January, we had 40 candidates who attended and passed.
The success of those courses means we have additional courses in March and April.
