There will be 500 balls distributed to communities, schools and clubs around WA as part of the 2023 NAIDOC Week celebrations, which takes place in July.
The winning artist will receive a $1000 sports equipment voucher and a set of 20 footballs featuring the design.
The 2022 winner was Mt Magnet artist Darren Ryder, who used the challenges of life as a young Aboriginal as the inspiration behind his winning artwork. He also incorporated the positive role of family and community elders in his design.
