Bayswater City are in Adelaide this weekend hoping to secure the point that will guarantee them a place in the quarter-final of the Australian Championship.
Bayswater go into the Round Five clash second in Group D on goal difference to West APIA, who beat Sydney United 58 2-1 on Friday.
However, Matty Sparrow's side sit six points ahead of third-place MetroStars. And with just one round to play after this weekend, the NPLWA champions need only avoid defeat to book their spot in the knockout stage.
Bayswater made it three straight wins last Sunday with a 3-2 victory over Sydney United 58. However, they were made to work for the win against a side that had been reduced to 10 men early in the game. Gyles Davies, Chris Jackson and Luke Palmateer gave Baysie a three-goal advantage by the hour mark, before a late resurgence from their opponents almost saw two points slip away.
In Round Two, Davies proved the difference as Bayswater beat MetroStars 1-0 in Perth.
Nothing but a win this weekend will do for South Australian NPL champions MetroStars if they are to stay in the hunt for the knockout stage.
They saw two points snatched from them last time out, as APIA found an equaliser in stoppage time.
Michael Cittadini opened the scoring for MetroStars, making it goals in back-to-back games in the 1-1 draw.
