2025 Female Football Week events

Welcome to the 2025 Female Football Week, as Football West joins Football Australia and other Member Federations in recognising the contributions of women and girls in football.

Female Football Week runs until 10 May and includes several activations as part of the celebrations, including webinars, coaching course and a free girls five-a-side tournament.

Coaching Webinar: Supporting High-Performing Teams Off-Field - this event has passed.

Targeted at those in the community who are coaching, aspiring coaches or parents of players. Learn about how the environment that we create off the field impacts on field performance. Guest speakers will talk about strategies in creating safe environments to get the best out of people both on and off the field. Hosted by Samantha Lewis, from Women Onside, join us to hear from our guest speakers on their journeys in football and how the game can continue to grow.

Volunteers Webinar: Securing and Delivering a Successful Grant Project

Targeted at clubs looking to develop grant proposals and deliver successful grant projects. The webinar will cover themes from what makes a good grant, building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure success, and designing and delivering a successful grant budget and financial plan.

Officiating: Breaking Down Barriers for Women in Sports Officiating

Targeted at those in the community who aspire to progress their refereeing journey. Panel discussion with current female referees about how their journey in elite refereeing and how they can continue to develop environments to support the growth of women and girls in sports officiating.

Girls 5-a-Side Tournament

Football West is inviting girls to play in a FREE* five-a-side tournament as part of the Female Football Week celebrations.

It will be held from 8.30am-noon at the Sam Kerr Football Centre and is open to girls born between 2009-2011 (U14-U16).
