2025 Referees Awards: Skinner, Scott win Golden Whistle awards

Football West celebrated its two Golden Whistle winners on Friday night at the 2025 Referees Awards.

Meagan Scott won the Female Referee of the Year while Shane Skinner took the Male Referee of the Year award for the second time.

Skinner’s fellow A-League match official Arvin Shanmuganathan was named Assistant Referee of the Year.

The Referee Awards were held at the Sam Kerr Football Centre, where Football West Chair Sherif Andrawes and Referee Operations Coordinator Adrien Liechti were the speakers.

Andre Ferreira won the State League Referee of the Year award, with the State League Assistant Referee of the Year award going to Dean Whelan.

Darren Scheepens was Amateur Leagues Referee of the Year.
