Representatives from the 20 competing teams in Football West’s top flight gathered at Cleaver House in West Perth on Monday night for the 2026 New Balance NPL WA Season Launch.

Sport & Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti was represented by her Parliamentary Secretary Samatha Rowe MLC, who spoke about the State Government’s support for football, including the NPL, and its investment in facilities.
Football West Chair Sherif Andrawes also spoke, while there was a captains photoshoot for teams from both the New Balance NPL WA Men’s and New Balance NPL WA Women’s competitions, as well a Q&A panel consisting of Bayswater City Football Operations Jason Mirco, Balcatta Etna President Peter Carlino, Perth RedStar captain and Football West Manager Female Football & Advocacy Sarah Carroll, and Olympic Kingsway club secretary Mandy Gordon.
This is the first time Football West’s premier divisions have had an exclusive naming-rights partner, with New Balance on board for at least the next three years.
To mark the occasion, Belgravia Apparel Business Development Manager Glen Metherell addressed the audience.
“New Balance is really proud to be the inaugural exclusive naming rights partner of the NPL WA.
“It’s a fantastic collaboration after three years working with Football West and to be able to elevate the partnership to this level is just another step in our work with football in WA.”
Belgravia Apparel-New Balance has been Football West’s Official Apparel Partner since January 2023.
Football West CEO Jamie Harnwell said: “We’re delighted to have New Balance on board as the official naming rights partner of the NPL in Western Australia. They have been a fantastic supporter of Football West across our apparel for a number of years, so to grow that partnership and have that exposure in our top-level is fantastic. We couldn’t be prouder.”
