Floreat Athena will begin the 2026 State League campaign with a Friday night home game against UWA Nedlands.

Floreat, the 2022 NPL champions, suffered relegation from the top flight for the first time since 1981 last season after they failed to win a single game.

Now under new head coach Alun Vernals, Athena have a potentially testing opener in Division One against last season’s runners-up UWA.

The match at E&D Litis Stadium is on Friday 20 March, with the remainder of the 22-round State League competition starting on Saturday 21 March.

Last year’s Division Two champions Quinns are at Curtin University, while Cockburn City, who were promoted to the first division via the play-offs, host Murdoch University Melville.

Joondalup City, who missed out on promotion to the New Balance NPL WA Men’s competition in the play-off final, are away to Gwelup Croatia. The other first round fixtures see Inglewood United at home to Kingsley Westside, while Subiaco host Mandurah City.

All Division One first-team games will be streamed live and free on Streamer.
