New sponsor: Construction Training Fund backs women’s football in WA

Football West’s Women’s League has secured a new naming rights sponsor in Construction Training Fund (CTF).

The competition will be known as the Construction Training Fund Women’s League.

In all, CTF will be the name sponsor for the following competitions:

  • Women’s League (including Division 1, Central Divisions 2-5 and North/South Divisions 6-8)
  • Women’s State Cup
  • Women’s League Night Series
  • Women’s League Cup
  • Women’s League Awards

In addition, CTF will sponsor the Football West World Cup, now known as the Construction Training Fund World Cup, and will be a supporting sponsor of the Africa Down Under Cup.

CTF is a Statutory Authority supporting Western Australia’s construction workforce.

It works to ensure Western Australia’s building and construction industry can meet demand for skilled workers and create a safe, sustainable future for all who work in the industry.

CTF supports the attraction and retention of workers by promoting training, skills development, and career pathways into the sector.

CTF Chief Executive Tiff Allen said: “We are proud to partner with Football West and support the Women’s League as naming rights sponsor.

Football West Chief Executive Jamie Harnwell highlighted the significance of the new partnership: “We are delighted to welcome Construction Training Fund as an Official Sponsor of Football West and look forward to working closely together, especially in the promotion of the Women’s League.

“Female football continues to thrive in WA, with registration numbers growing each year, and this is an opportunity to highlight the strength of the women’s grassroots game.”

Football West Manager – Female Football & Advocacy Sarah Carroll said: “It is fantastic that the Construction Training Fund is getting behind the Women’s League through this sponsorship.

“We have many players in our leagues who work in the industry in one capacity or another, and so this is a great fit for us.”
