Day Five wrap: National Futsal Championships 2025

There was double disappointment for Western Australia at the National Futsal Championships in Melbourne, with the Gold Fields WA State Futsal Men's and Boys U14s teams both missing out in their respective grand finals.

Football Victoria (Tigers) beat the WA Men 2-0 while Football NSW (Thunder) defeated the WA Boys U14s by the same scoreline.

Marcus Fernandez broke the deadlock for the Tigers with seven minutes remaining in the first half. Western Australia made a final push in the dying minutes, playing fifth man, and Harry Robotis sealed victory with 30 seconds left on the clock by finishing into the unguarded net.

WA’s Charlie Garnham and Thunder’s Grant Lynch shared the Golden Shoe with 10 goals.

In the Boys U14s final, Ned Howell and Jake Polo found the back of the net to earn the national title, the team’s first at the level.

Western Australia’s Leandro Jesus won the Golden Shoe with 10 goals.

  • Two WA players were selected in their respective Teams of the Tournament. Savanna Glavovic made the Girls U13s side while Tyler Garner was in the Open Men's side.
