Several of the Gold Fields WA State teams head into tomorrow’s National Futsal Championships quarter-finals in great form following a goal-fest in Melbourne on Day Three.
In the Open Men’s category, WA finished top of Pool B and unbeaten following their 4-4 draw against Football NSW (Lightning). Two down at the break, they did enough to grab a point with Tyler Garner, Justin Tang and Lachlan Ryan among the scorers.

The Girls U13s completed their group games in style, defeating Capital Football 4-0 to ensure they won Pool A with a 100% record. The scorers for Salv Todaro's side were Savanna Glavovic (2), Angelina Kalantzis and Gracie Kendrick.
The Boys U14s had two huge wins to secure second spot in Pool A. They hammered Northern NSW 10-1 as Leandro Jesus (4), Anthony Scaffidi (2), Cameron Papiccio 2, Tom Ceic and Dylan Winardi got on the scoresheet.
Chris Castro's team went even better in game two, thrashing Capital Football 12-2. Jesus bagged his second hat-trick of the day, Anthony Ciffolilli also got a treble, Winardi two, while further goals came from Papiccio, Brandan Parry and Reed Thompson.

The Boys U12s were also on fire as they beat Football NSW Country 13-3. Tomas Jesus netted four and Gabriele Schmiedgen and Jaksen Brown three apiece for Umbi Di Tullio's team, with Novak Golub, Davi Silva Borges and Santiago Palta also chipping in.
Not to be outdone, the Boys U13s under coach Tyler Garner gave hosts Football Victoria (White) a touch-up as they cantered home 13-2. Tedeset Adugna and Riley Yap got hat-tricks, with the others coming via Harper Abrahams (2), Ruben Cole, Javier Palta, Adam Ikhlef, Adam Radi and Matvei Tutynin.
A word of praise for coach Jose Galindo and the Open Women’s side. After being outclassed by Capital Football (Blue) in their first game of the day, they bounced back with a 4-3 victory over Football Queensland (White). Theo Mouithys (2), Alyssa Van Heurck and Claudia Heinzle scored the goals.

The Boys U15s also played twice today, unfortunately coming out on the wrong end of two exciting encounters. Coach Anthony Fico watched his players edged out 6-4 by NSW Country, Ahmet Atak, Bastian Dominguez Rubina, Lucas Low and Milos Banic their scorers. Then they lost 8-6 to NSW Metro, with Rubina (2), Atak, Low, David Klimoski and Joshua Canlas on target.
Finally, coach Roger Lee and the WA Youth Men await their first win after they were outclassed by Football NSW (Lightning).
The semi-finals will also be played on Saturday at the State Netball and Hockey Centre, with the grand finals on Sunday.
