Emerald make it three from three while Knight strikes for Windmills
Due to Australia Cup commitments, there were just four matches in Round Three of the Belt Up Amateur Premier Division this weekend.
Leaders Emerald continued their winning start to the campaign after they held off South Perth United 3-2. The division’s top scorer Andrew Wood got two to take his season’s tally to seven, with Shane Flynn bagging Emerald’s other. Gareth Pugh and Ayela Santa registered for United.
Kelmscott Roos are second on seven points following their 3-0 defeat of Jaguar. Kinglsey Nteng got the opener, followed by two from Amos Doegolia.
Morley Windmills were similarly convincing as they beat Peel United 3-0. Faustin Machochi and Gavin Knight had Windmills two up at half-time, and substitute Joseph Juma wrapped it up near the end.
Finally, Kingsley Westside are on the board following a 2-0 win against North Beach. Ryan Fish gave Kingsley the lead on 15 minutes from the penalty spot, with Jamie Foster doubling the lead early in the second half.
Joondalup United’s game with Maccabi has been rearranged for Wednesday 8 May at Percy Doyle Reserve, while the Wembley Downs-North Perth United clash is still to be rescheduled.
