Football West is inviting talented young boys aged 12-15 to trial for its new Football Australia Academy.
The Academy will focus on player development and is designed to prepare youngsters for progression into higher levels by enhancing their technical skills, tactical understanding and high-performance behaviours.
The new Academy will start in 2025 and operate side by side with Football West’s successful girls’ NTC program.
Football West-run FA Academy program overview
- Four playing squads covering ages 12 to 15
- Focus on player development
- Youngsters prepared for progression into higher levels through enhanced technical skills, tactical understanding and high-performance behaviours
- Access to a quality training methodology under our experienced, accredited coaching staff
- 44 weeks per year, 4 x per week average contact days
- Teams will play in the new Junior Development League one year up from their age group – ie players turning 12 will play in U13s; players turning 13 will play in U14s etc

Cost and Membership Players
For successful trialists accepted into the Academy, the annual cost will be $930.
There will be a limited number of Membership places for players who have trialed and are subsequently invited to train once a week with the FA Academy squad under FA Academy coaches. They will pay a reduced fee.
TRIALS
Players trialing for the Football West FA Academy will be considered for their birth year age group. Please note, players born outside these dates will not be allowed to trial.
Players must attend the first two trials. The third trial is invite-only for players who have been successful after the first two trials.
Players are asked to show up 15 minutes before each session.
Only players who register can trial.
