Football West has teamed up with Football Northern Territory this week to deliver programs across the Kimberley.
Community Participation Officer Tui Wineti and Football NT Chief Communities Officer Reza Zarkesh have visited Broome, Kununurra, Warmun and Halls Creek to put on school clinics, community programs and high-performance sessions.

Football West CFO Rachael Gazis said this could be the first of a number of joint initiatives between the two member federations.
“Both Football West and Football NT are committed to providing quality football programs in the top end,” she said.
“The vastness and remoteness in the Kimberley mean communities there do not always have access to services. Tui and Reza have made a really positive impact this week, especially with Indigenous youngsters.”

Ms Gazis added: “It may be a few years off, but we would love players to come through from these communities to represent the regional State teams. We want to ensure that these pathways are in place.
“Co-operation with Northern Territory also lends itself to putting together a tournament between teams from Kimberley, NT and even the north of Queensland.
“There is also the region’s proximity to Asia and organising exchange trips with countries in the ASEAN Football Federation. It is great that football has such a reach.”
