Football West introduces Squadi as new competition management system

Football West is pleased to announce a partnership with World Sport Action (WSA) to be the competition management system (CMS) for the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

This decision was taken following strong feedback from across the football community regarding the performance of the previous system.

The new online CMS is called Squadi and is available online and through Google Play and the App Store.

Squadi will include all formats of football competitions in Western Australia, including Senior and Junior NPL and community leagues (inc Amateur, Metro and Masters), futsal, MiniRoos and out-of-competition programs.

WSA has tailored Squadi to streamline all facets of football in one single competition management system, which includes referee appointments, fixturing, results, ladders, statistics, disciplinary functions, online team sheets and a match-day solution, removing unnecessary duplication of effort for our clubs, participants and volunteers.

Features of the match-day app include:

•           Automated notifications when matches are postponed, cancelled, moved or forfeited

•           Ability to communicate with the entire WA football community via push notification to mobile, email or the news announcement feature

•           In-app chat function which can be used by administrators, coaches, managers etc, removing the need for messaging systems such as WhatsApp and Team App

•           Ability to schedule and manage training, team events and other activities

•           Mobile phone-friendly functionality that allows referees to enter results seamlessly

•           Integrated eCommerce function, allowing clubs and associations the ability to set up their own online store

•           Real-time draw and ladder

•           Real-time incident tracking

Football West General Manager- Football Perry Ielati said: “We assessed several options and made the decision to partner with WSA for the next two years. Our members demand competition integrity and a positive overall game-day experience. We are confident that we can deliver that with Squadi.”

Football West will deliver information sessions regarding Squadi to club representatives from mid-January. Clubs will be informed of the times for the sessions.

Football West is committed to delivering simplified systems and processes to enhance the experience for our members and ensure easy access to football for all participants across the state.
