Football West seeks Hyundai NTC 15s head coach

Football West is seeking a head coach for its Hyundai National Training Centre (NTC) U15 team.

The NTC U15 team play in the NPLWA – Women’s U23 competition and the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering three training sessions and one game per week, with the support of an assistant coach.

The head coach role is a part-time, fixed-term position with an average of eight working hours a week. The position will run from January 2022 – 30 November 2022.

Training evenings are generally Monday or Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with matches usually held on Sunday afternoons. Please note training and game days can be variable, so the successful candidate would need to be available during this time period.

Duties include:

•             Talent identification – observing female league fixtures and conducting trials to identify talent players

•             Player development – actively assisting players in their individual technical, tactical, physical and mental development

•             Program delivery – plan, organise and deliver the NTC training program based on the Football Australia National Curriculum and deliver all game day activities

•             Providing regular updates and end of program review to the Policy and Advocacy Department

The National Training Centre (NTC) for Girls is part of the Elite Development Pathway for female players in WA. It is a player centred program established by Football Australia (FA) in conjunction with each Member Federation to assist talented young female players with their football development.  

Requirements

You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with past coaching or assistant coaching experience.

  • Valid FFA B Licence, or willing to work towards
  • Experience working with talented players and motivating teams
  • Strong working knowledge of the Football Australia National Curriculum
  • Ability to plan, organise and deliver effective training sessions
  • Strong communication skills

You must be eligible to work in Australia in order to be employed by Football West and must also provide a current Working with Children check and hold a current Australian Driver’s Licence.
