Four-goal Niyongere fires Football West into Paras Gold Medal match
Football West will face Football Victoria in the Gold Medal match at the 2025 National Para Football Championships.
The West Aussies rounded off their ranking games today with a thumping 9-0 win against Northern NSW.
Rodrigues Niyongere scored four, with Ollie Dawson (2), Samuel McConnachy, Allan Sarago-Ah Kee and Corbyn Major also on target.
Football West, coached by former Socceroo David Williams, have won three of their four matches at the championships in Melbourne.
Their only loss came at the hands of their opponents in the final, Victoria.
If WA can take revenge on the Vics it will be the first time they have been crowned national champions, having won silver twice.
Friday’s final kicks off at 7.35am WST and will be shown live on Football Australia YouTube.
This will be the first time since 2008 that anyone other than Football NSW will be crowned champions.
