Treble winners Olympic Kingsway have five players in the Gold Fields WA Men’s State squad for tomorrow night’s Gold Fields Challenge Cup match against Perth Glory at the Sam Kerr Football Centre.
Aryn Williams, Josh Samson, Joe Knowles, Tyler Garner and Mitch Oxborrow all played in Saturday night’s 3-2 win over Stirling Macedonia as Olympic added the Top Four Cup to the league title and State Cup. Williams, Knowles and State Team captain Oxborrow are former Glory A-League players.
League and State Cup runners-up Perth RedStar have four players involved – Matty George, Joel Chianese, Nick Walsh and Declan Hughes – while Sam Cook, Daniel Faichney and Zayd Farah represent Perth SC.
Also named are Armadale’s 2024 NPLM Golden Boot winner Pieter Jacobsz, Floreat Athena’s Sean McManus and Ajang Yuot, plus Western Knights duo Jesse Lazzaro and Kristian Santich, the latter scoring the winning goal the last time the Men's State Team beat Glory in 2021.
Division One champions Sorrento FC have two players in the squad – midfield ace Neil Kilkenny and young winger Clay Gibbs.
The two goalkeepers are Fremantle City’s Luke Radonich and Lewis Italiano of Bayswater City.
