Gold Fields WA State Girls team shirt presentation

Football West hosted the shirt presentation for the Gold Fields WA State Girls teams at the Sam Kerr Football Centre on Monday.

The players will represent Western Australia at the National Youth Championships for Girls, which take place at the Home of the Matildas in Bundoora, Victoria, between 3-8 July.

Gold Fields Unit Manager: Corporate Affairs Claire Walker and Football West CEO Jamie Harnwell presented the players with their shirts.

Football West Policy and Advocacy Manager Gareth Naven, who oversees the junior pathway, said: “Congratulations to all of the players selected. They have all impressed during the trails and we are confident they will go well at the National Youth Championships in Victoria.

“We always want to assess as many players as possible in the trials, which makes it particularly rewarding that there are two regional players in the U16s in Shelley Thompson and Lumeah Masih, who are both from the Great Southern region.

“Finally, I would like to thank Gold Fields Australia for their continued support of our State teams.”

  • Football Australia has entered into a streaming partnership with KommunityTV for the 2024 National Youth Championships.
